The lead record should carry the consent, not just the phone number
A name and a number are not enough. Intake needs the consent, the time it was given, and the page it came from, on the same record.

A name and a phone number are not a complete lead. Your intake team also needs to know what the person agreed to, and when. If that is missing, the first call starts with a guess: did they ask to hear from a law firm, or did they tap through a form they barely read?
What should travel with the lead
- 01
The consent itself
That they asked to be contacted about a possible claim, by phone, text, or both.
- 02
When they gave it
A timestamp, not a note added later by someone reconciling a spreadsheet.
- 03
Where it happened
The campaign or page, so you can see which source the person came from.
- 04
The number they confirmed
The phone that was SMS-verified, which should be the one your team dials.
Why intake feels the difference
Specialists move faster when the record already answers the awkward questions. They can open with the incident, not with “did you fill something out online?” If the person says they never asked for a call, the timestamp and the source are there. That is a different conversation than a blank row in a spreadsheet.
It also keeps the firm and the vendor talking about the same event. “They opted in” is a claim. A time and a page are something both sides can look at.
Keep the language plain
The person should be able to tell what they are agreeing to: a law firm may call or text about the incident they just described. Consent to that contact is not the same thing as hiring the firm, and the record should not imply that it is. Your attorneys decide whether the matter is one they will take.
If your bar rules or your intake script need specific wording, write that into the criteria before launch. The lead record then stores what was actually shown, not a summary someone remembers a month later.
Don’t split it across systems
Consent that lives in an ad account, while the name and phone live in the CRM, will get lost the first time someone exports a list. The fields belong on the same record that posts to LeadDocket, Litify, GoHighLevel, your webhook, or your inbox. Routing rules can send that whole record to the right office. They should not strip the consent off on the way.
Ask to see one before you buy
On the first call, ask what a delivered personal injury or workers’ compensation lead looks like, including consent and the verified phone. Case Leads Pro sends those with the record, in real time, to one firm. That is not a signed case. Book a 20-minute call and we will walk through the fields your team would actually open.
